Reservations canceled more than 24 hours prior to arrival will receive a full refund.

Reservations canceled within 24-hours of arrival are considered a no-show and full penalty charges apply. Travel Insurance is highly recommended.

All suites feature ceiling fans, air conditioning, Cable Television including all major networks and specialty channels including HBO and movie channels, kitchen facilities and patio or balcony.

All rooms are outfitted with a kitchen including a small refrigerator, 2-burner stove top, toaster, microwave and basic crockery, cutlery and cookware. Your kitchen will be furnished with basics including purified drinking water, salt, pepper, coffee, sugar and paper towels in advance of your arrival.

Yes, we offer two pools which are reserved for the exclusive use of our owners and registered guests.  Running, diving, dangerous stunts and glass containers are not permitted.

Yes, we provide 1 beach towel per person on arrival. During your stay, please bring any used towels to the front desk to the exchange for fresh towels.

Our Front Desk is open between the hours of 8am and 7pm daily.  After hours our Resident Manager is available to assist.

Complimentary WIFI hotspots are located on property. Please note that the WIFI service in Belize is not as fast or reliable as you may be accustomed to. You will be able to check and send emails and post pictures on Facebook to update your friends, but you should not expect to download large files or stream entertainment during your stay.

Belize operates on 110 V, this is the same as the USA and Canada. If you are traveling from another country, you will most likely require an electrical adapter.

During the day, most of our guests will be out on tours, lounging on the beach or beside one of our two pools, swinging in a hammock on their porch enjoying a good book, taking advantage of our complimentary bikes, kayaks or paddle boards, or enjoying the daily specials at Boox Balaam Beach Bar.

At night, the resort is pretty quiet.  After dinner, many guests will the Temple Run Beach Bar, while others will enjoy stargazing or retire to their room to relax.  All rooms are equipped with Cable TV featuring all major USA Networks as well as HBO, Showtime and Encore Movie Channels.

Escape Day Spa, our mobile spa partner, offers a complete menu of spa services to treat your mind, body and soul.  The spa treatments use locally sourced organic products as much as possible. In the verdant land of Belize many of these products can be found close to home. Escape Day Spa’s signature organic coconut oil is sourced straight from the producers in Corozal Town. The oil is kept 100% pure, and is never mixed with any other oils.

Manicures, Pedicures and Facials can be done in your suite while you have a choice of in-room, on your balcony or on property for massages.  Treatments can be pre-booked or arranged once you are onsite.

For the safety and comfort of all of our guests, pets are not allowed.

The restaurant and bar are available for your convenience at the other properties, however the pool and facilities usage is for registered guest of that resort only.

Periodically, coastal areas of the southern USA, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean will experience periods of Sargassum Seaweed washing ashore.   Sargassum comes from the Sargasso Sea in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and is normally kept at bay by water temperatures and currents.  We work diligently to keep our area clear, however there are days where this is a challenge. Guests should be aware that Sargassum Seaweed may be present during their stay.

Yes, hairdryers and toiletries are provided in all units

The first step to booking your wedding is by contacting our wedding coordinator via phone call(1.844.360.1553) to check wedding date availability and to go over your wedding details. Once your wedding date is available, you being the bride and groom will be required to book your room through the reservations department([email protected]). After confirming your room reservation, we will send you our wedding Contract and Credit Card Form to guarantee your Wedding Date. Planning your special Day starts right after your Wedding Package is paid in full. A Banquet Event Order which details the ceremony, reception and any other events will be sent to you approximately 30 days prior to your wedding date for your approval.

One wedding booking is accepted per day, allowing you to be our exclusive wedding couple for that day. The first step in planning your wedding is to secure your wedding date by contacting our wedding coordinator directly through our reservations department. If you have already booked your stay without reserving a wedding date, we may be unable to accommodate the date of your choosing. Weddings are typically booked 9 – 12 months in advance and dates fill up quickly. A room booking does not guarantee availability for a destination wedding, due to other preparations and confirmed wedding bookings.

MAYA ISLAND AIR BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS All reservations must be ticketed in advance of 24 hours to the flight time. Accepted forms of authorization to ticket an Accounts Receivable reservation is by purchase order, email to [email protected] or by booking directly through the Agent portal on our website. Any reservation not ticketed the day before flight date will be automatically purged from our system. No refund or credit for tickets cancelled within 24 hours of flight time or for No Show passengers. No Show tickets are considered null and void, no exception. The full ticket becomes due and payable once the passenger commences service with Maya Island Air. Unused portions of tickets are non-refundable. Once the travel date has commenced, ticket becomes usable for that day only and expires at the end of the day. Tickets are not usable for a future date travel. Changes are allowed in advance of 3 hours of the flight time, for same date of travel usage only. Changes made within 3 hours of the flight time will follow our cancellation policy. Booking Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notice.

Please note, in accordance to Health and Safety regulations, outside food and/or beverage is not permitted at Boox Balaam Restaurant or Beach Bar. 

Our highly rated onsite restaurant, the Boox Balaam Restaurant is open 7am to 9pm, 7 days per week, serving breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner.

X’tan Ha is located on the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize, Central America.  Ambergris Caye is the largest of many islands in Belize and is Belize’s most popular tourist destination.  San Pedro is the only town on the island.  X’tan Ha is considered a remote resort and is located 7.2 miles north of San Pedro town, primarily accessible via golf cart rental.

The first step is to get to Belize.  Belize’s International Airport is named Philip Goldson International Airport, code (BZE). Airlines that service BZE include: American, Avianca, Delta, United, TACA, Southwest, COPA and Tropic Air.

Guests arriving in Belize must transfer via a regional flight to the island of Ambergris Caye, a scenic 17-minute journey that will take you over Belize’s Barrier Reef. Maya Island Air is Belize’s leading, domestic, commercial passenger airline offering Air Travel, Tours, Charters and Freight Services. They operate daily, scheduled flights to several destinations including San Pedro, Dangriga and Placencia. The island’s airstrip is located in San Pedro Town. We are pleased to arrange your regional flight; the cost of US$177.50 pp. will simply be added to your account for payment upon booking.  Please note that we do not assess a fee for booking your flights; this is simply a service we provide to our guests.

Once you land in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, our representative will meet you and will send you up to our property on the next available transfer. There is a surcharge of US $30 per person for round-trip transportation from San Pedro Town to X’tan Ha Resort, arrival and departure transfers leave once per hour.

Please note: Should you decide to make your own transfer arrangements between Belize City and San Pedro, you must provide the details to our office no later than 72 hours prior to your arrival in order to be included on our arrival and departure transfer schedule between San Pedro Town and our property, failure to do so may result in non-availability of transfer service.

We are located approximately 7.2 miles north of San Pedro town. Our resort is considered remote.  X’tan Ha is not suitable for guests who wish to be close to town and nightlife.

Golf Carts are a fun way to explore the island and the government is currently working on a road between our location and San Pedro town. Currently, the road does not have directional signage or lighting and it may be difficult to pass during times of inclement weather.  We do not recommend driving after dark. For the most up to date information on road conditions as well as rates and availability of golf carts, please contact us.

Life on the island is casual and relaxed, so you should pack comfortable clothing and you may wish to pack your own dive gear.  Insect repellent and sunscreen are a must along with any medications and personal items such as eyeglasses, contact lenses and contact lens solution. A flashlight and light rain jacket can come in handy when Mother Nature strikes.

For all visitors, there is an exit fee when departing the country of Belize.  When traveling via the International Airport, this airport departure tax may be included in your airfare, so it is worth checking to see whether it has already been paid along with your airfare.  If not, it is payable in cash at the International Airport. The total exit fee is US $55.50.  There is also a $0.75 security fee for domestic security screening. When departing Belize through the Guatemala or Mexico border, the border fee to be paid on departure is US $20.00.”

Belize currency is fixed to the US dollar at a US$1 = BZ$$2 cash rate. US cash and major credit cards are widely accepted.  At X’tan Ha, charges incurred from our mobile spa service, tours and golf cart rentals arranged through our concierge, can all be charged to your room for easy payment upon departure.  Please note that the nearest ATM is located in San Pedro town.

At present, there is a moratorium that prohibits the temporary importation of drones in place by Belize’s Department of Civil Aviation.

X’tan Ha Resort can host up to 60 guests onsite.

When traveling with children under the age of 18, please note the following.  If the child will be traveling with only one parent or guardian, a notarized letter of consent must be provided by the other parent.  Children also need a valid passport for international travel.
