Sparadise, our spa partner onsite, offers a complete menu of spa services to treat your mind, body and soul.  The spa treatments use locally sourced organic products as much as possible. The oil is kept 100% pure, and is never mixed with any other oils.

Manicures, Pedicures and Facials can be done in your suite while you have a choice of in-room, on your balcony or on property for massages.  Treatments can be pre-booked or arranged once you are onsite.  For more information or to book your spa services, contact us at [email protected]. What should I pack?

Life on the island is casual and relaxed, so you should pack comfortable clothing. Some guests wish to pack their own dive gear. Insect repellent and sunscreen are a must along with personal medications and  items such as eyeglasses, contact lenses, and contact lens solution. A flashlight and light rain jacket can come in handy if inclement weather occurs.

What’s all the fuss about seagrass?

Belize is fortunate to enjoy the protection of the world’s second largest barrier reef system. Due to the protection of the reef, the waters off our coast are generally shallow and calm. As we don’t experience strong wave action, seagrass has a chance to take root. For this reason you’ll find the sea beds of Ambergris Caye to be predominantly grassy.

It’s important to keep in mind that seagrass is an important part of Belize’s ecosystem, and the removal of seagrass is highly controversial and legislated due to its importance to the health of the Barrier Reef.

What this all means is that our resort does not have a traditional walk-in beach. Tourists and locals alike enjoy swimming off the island’s many docks where the water is deeper and the seagrass doesn’t tickle their feet. The dock at Belizean Shores (located an easy stroll north along the beach) is a popular spot for swimming, and features stairs that lead directly from the dock into the water. During your stay on Ambergris Caye, you will see locals as well as tourists swimming off the island’s many docks where the water is deeper.

What about the Sargassum Seaweed I have read about?

Intermittently, coastal areas of southern USA, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean will experience periods of Sargassum Seaweed washing ashore. Sargassum comes from the Sargasso Sea in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, and is normally kept at bay by water temperatures and currents. We work diligently to keep our area clear, however guests should be aware when visiting coastal areas that seaweed may be present.

Are hairdryers provided?

Yes, hairdryers and toiletries are provided in all units
