Enjoy Mainland Belize Tours

enjoy mainland belize tours

You can have it all in Belize.   Stay on an island and revel in the sun, sand, and sea, then hop over to the mainland for a day trip of adventuring.  Basing your vacation on Ambergris Caye gives you access to the Belize Barrier Reef and all of the associated water sports along with a thriving restaurant scene.  Conveniently located via a short scenic local flight from the Philip Goldson International Airport, Ambergris Caye is a hub for tourism in Belize.  The full experience of what this country has to offer can’t be truly appreciated without a visit inland, which is easily done with a wide variety of day trips.  Belize is fondly referred to as The Jewel partly due to the lush, verdant jungle that still covers much of the mainland.

Tuff E Nuff Tours

Our tour partner, Tuff E Nuff Tours, can be found at each resort in the Sandy Point Resorts collection.  The award-winning company has a dynamic staff of the highest qualified and licensed guides and a reputation for excellence.  Their long list of mainland excursions makes it easy to find the trip that is the best match for you.

Logistics

Each tour varies on the specific logistics, but as all of them are located on the mainland of Belize, it is first necessary that you travel from your resort on Ambergris Caye.  Tuff E Nuff makes this easy by offering resort transportation to the airstrip in San Pedro Town and a light breakfast.  The 17-minute flight to the municipal airport in Belize City offers breathtaking views of the reef and coastal Belize.  In Belize City, your tour guide will meet you with an air-conditioned van for the rest of your trip overland to your destination.  Most tours are a half-day, giving you a great opportunity to add on a second excursion for the afternoon.  When planning your tours, be sure to ask about double or triple combos to pack as much as possible into your few precious vacation days, and also to stretch your budget.  Lunch at a local eatery is included, along with water, soda, snacks, tour guide, entrance fees, ground transportation and round trip local airfare.

Without any further ado, here are some of the most popular mainland excursions that our guests can’t stop talking about.  For a full list of the mainland tours available, be sure to contact your resort’s Guest Services for more details and to make your reservations.
